LG's new 66-core NeON R and NeON R Prime modules
LG Business Solutions caters to green home builders by launching two new solar panels and upgrading other models, with higher output in 2021. Debuted in the virtual experience of the IBSx International Construction Expo, the 2021 residential solar panel lineup represents LG's most powerful US senior director of LG Solar, David Chang, said that this is the highest performance module to date.

LG’s new 66-core NeON R and NeON R Prime modules using back contact technology have high output efficiency and stylish aesthetics, consolidating LG’s commitment to serve the residential construction market with outstanding performance and design attractiveness. NeON R 66-cell residential solar panels have a power output of up to 440W, while NeON R Prime (all black) is a 425W model, which will be available to US residential builders and homeowners this spring. With an efficiency of up to 22.1%, these two modules are ideal for homeowners and installers who need reliable, durable and elegant solar solutions to meet their energy needs.
Back contact technology allows all interconnectors to be positioned on the underside of the battery to increase the possibility of absorbing sunlight and reduce vulnerability to environmental damage, such as microcracks that may increase energy loss. This also adds to the stylish and modern appearance of the module. Chang said that the design of the new module is durable and can provide excellent performance even in the most extreme weather conditions. Their excellent temperature coefficient performs better on sunny days and leads to lower degradation rates.
Like all LG solar panels, NeON R and NeON R Prime 66-cell panels provide a 25-year limited warranty covering product, performance and labor. At 25 years, these modules are guaranteed to produce at least 92.5% of the nominal power output, so consumers can rest assured that their investment in these panels will be guaranteed in the next few years.
Upgrade: As a complement to the launch of new panels, LG is upgrading its NeON product portfolio for residential and commercial spaces.
Using the award-winning Cello technology, the 60-core NeON 2 panel can now provide up to 380W of power with an efficiency rating of up to 21.0%. LG NeON 2 Black provides almost the same power and performance as NeON 2, providing a power output of up to 375W. The black design is distinguished by its almost seamless, stylish appearance and the black frame that blends with the roof. The degradation rate of both modules increased by 90.6% in the 25th year.
The upgraded NeON 2 ACe 60-core panel has a power rating of up to 375W, while the NeON R ACe panel can generate up to 395W of DC power output. Both modules are equipped with an integrated 320W micro-inverter and have lifetime access to LG's EnerVu monitoring platform, which can track long-term performance and provide real-time analysis. If there is a technical problem, it can also alert LG customer service to help solve the technical problem remotely.
LG NeON H is a 144-segment solar module that can provide up to 455W of power output and 20.0% to 20.8% efficiency. It has an excellent temperature coefficient of -.34%/⁰C and tempered glass with a high-transmission anti-reflection coating. LG NeON H is guaranteed to produce at least 90.6% of initial performance at 25 years.
The NeON H double-sided panel (144 pieces) launched this spring uses a double-sided power generation design, which not only absorbs sunlight from the front, but also absorbs sunlight from the back through a transparent back sheet, so it can provide high efficiency. The two sides of the battery allow high energy to be generated, making the power output of the LG NeON H double-sided panel up to 445W.
